That’s why we’ve designed our CHI Health Maternity Centers and Birth Centers to give expectant moms everything they deserve — from spacious, home-like birthing suites to 24/7 access to specialized care. CHI Health offers expectant moms the most comfortable and comprehensive maternity services available with spacious, home-like settings and family-friendly guest sleeping accommodations. Most important, all of our convenient locations are backed by the support of a full-service hospital.

Personalized Maternity Care
Warm, spacious birthing and maternity suites, with home-like comfort. Family sleeping accommodations. Private baths and in-room Wi-Fi. Our birthing suites are specifically designed to keep you, your baby and your family members safe and comfortable throughout your stay. Water Births are available at several locations as is Nitrous Oxide for pain relief during labor.
Our birthing team not only surrounds you with personalized attention, they also offer the region’s best neonatal care. Our maternity team includes Obstetrician/Gynecologists, Midwives and Women's Health providers. Always on call and always ready to help, their only mission is to make your birthing experience everything it should be.
Specialized Maternity Team
Our Maternity Centers offer you access to specialists for mother and baby if the need arises. For babies that need extra care and attention, we achieve exceptional outcomes in our Neonatal Intensive Care Units, which offer private rooms specially designed to promote growth and development. CHI Health has 5 neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) for premature or high-risk pregnancies and are staffed around the clock with board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners and specially trained nurses.
Maternal-Fetal (perinatal) physicians are on staff. Anesthesia and hospital physicians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for C-section births. Specially trained nurses and staff offer personalized care. Lactation (breastfeeding) consultants are available 7 days a week – even after you leave the hospital. A Lactation support group is available through our Baby and Parenting class offerings.

Blue Distinction® Center for Maternity Care
CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy, Immanuel, Lakeside, St. Elizabeth and St. Francis are designated as Blue Distinction Centers for maternity care by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
