Where patients are at the heart of our care

CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs

Welcome to CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, where patients are at the heart of our patient-focused care. Our campus is designed to heal the body, mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services include a new Pavilion featuring enhancements in heart & vascular care, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.

Patients & Visitors

Visiting Hours

CHI Health Mercy does not have restricted visiting hours. Periodically, visitation may be limited because of special circumstances that may arise. We also recognize the importance of our new mothers' needs and have a nap time every day from 2-4 p.m., however, moms do have the option of having visitors during this time. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you have any questions, please talk to a nurse or care provider.

Hotels

Many hotels in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area provide reduced rates for Mercy Hospital patient families. To obtain prices, please contact the hotel directly and indicate that you are interested in special rates for CHI Health patients and families. Rates may or may not include breakfast. Please phone the hotel for rates and meal details as they are subject to change.

Patient e-Greeting

Patient eGreeting is a free service provided by volunteers and staff at CHI Health Mercy. Simply complete the form, and we'll hand-deliver your message to the patient you care about.

Magnet Recognition Program

CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs has been designated as a Magnet organization. The Magnet Recognition Program designates organizations worldwide where nursing leaders successfully align their nursing strategic goals to improve the organization’s patient outcomes. The Magnet Recognition Program provides a roadmap to nursing excellence, which benefits the whole of an organization. To nurses, Magnet Recognition means education and development through every career stage, which leads to greater autonomy at the bedside. To patients, it means the very best care, delivered by nurses who are supported to be the very best that they can be.
