Wellness Center Changes

We invite you to join the CHI Health Wellness Center in Corning. We have initiated changes to maintain your safety and wellbeing while at the Wellness Center. You will be screened upon entrance to the Wellness Center. Additional restrictions to amenities may be in place, you are encouraged to contact the Wellness Center directly for details. Temporary restrictions include showers, sauna and café closed.

CHI Health Wellness Center in Corning, Iowa is a full-service facility designed especially for people committed to improving and maintaining their health. Anyone, ages 6th grade and up is welcome to join. We are focused on your total well-being. That’s why we offer a full range of fitness classes and equipment, in a spacious and friendly center. The Wellness Cafe, located with the center, is a great place to grab a healthy snack and meet with friends after a class or workout.

Our personal trainers, dietitian and health care providers all have degrees in their fields and certifications from national accrediting organizations.

If you answered yes to any of these questions then a personal trainer may be just what you’re looking for. All of our trainers have a degree in exercise science or are certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). 

Personal trainers at CHI Health Wellness Center have the latest information in the fitness industry gained from required educational courses to give the members a safe, effective, balanced and informative approach to exercise. 

To get started with your own personal trainer, simply fill out our Personal Training Request Form at the Front Desk and a trainer will contact you right away. All personal training is conducted through appointments that you arrange with your trainer to fit your schedule.

Nutritional Counseling & Diabetes Education

CHI Health is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals living with diabetes. The CHI Health Diabetes Education program provides comprehensive education on diabetes care, including nutrition and lifestyle changes.

  • Individual Patient Education: Certified Diabetes Educators are available to instruct individuals and their families on the basics of self-management and nutrition.
  • Nutrition Therapy- A Registered Dietitian can provide information and material based on the individuals' lifestyle and treatment plan:
    • Menu & meal planning
    • Carbohydrate counting
    • How to read food labels
    • How to plan your meals when dining out
    • Effects of alcohol on nutrition and health
    • Exercise and weight management
    • Support Group: quarterly meetings/programs

Corning Wellness Group Classes

CHI Health Corning Wellness group classes are a fun and motivating way to stay fit! Classes are open to members and non-members. Members receive a discount. Below are descriptions of our classes.


A mix of cardio and plyometric drills with intervals of strength, power, resistance and core training.


The use of body weight to perform low-impact, high intensity movements inspired by Pilates and Yoga.


Resembles a mini bowling ball with a handle, kettlebells are great for cardio, strength, and flexibility training.

Boot Camp

An intense circuit to keep your heart rate up, burn calories, and tones your whole body.

Spinning class

Classes offer a variety of rides, movements, coaching and motivation that keep riders safe, excited and engaged.

Body Blend

Fun class that uses a variety of exercise equipment to get your heart rate going as well as working on building strength.


Focuses on strengthening the core to improve balance and posture. A variety of exercises will be used to create a new challenge in every class. This class will start at a beginner level and progress to an intermediate level as the class continues.


This class is a series of stations that offer aerobic and strength. Perfect for all fitness levels.

Fit Fusion

No class is ever the same. This class uses a variety of formats and will keep you guessing what’s coming next.


Extremely fun rowing class that works entire body by using the IndoRow machine. Class is easy on the joints and will make your body strong.

Row and Core

Use the IndoRow combined with core strengthening exercise, quick calorie burring workout.


Class will use a variety of muscles in your body by using weighted bars, bands and your own weight. There will be a warm up and then get ready to strengthen those muscles.


Using the TRX equipment and body weight training simultaneously develops strength, power, endurance, balance and flexibility

Water Aerobics

Aerobic and strength done in the water. Offered at Adams Community Aquatic Center during summer months.


Class has the basics of yoga with posture, breathing technique and balance.
