Students and Graduates

Welcome students and recent graduates to CHI Health! Thank you for checking out the opportunities we have to help you in your career search!  We have organized our programs into three career areas – awareness, exploration and development. Learn more about each area below.

Career Awareness

CHI Health is committed to providing people of all ages the opportunity to learn about the variety of careers in health care. Our primary audience are high school, college/university-age students and job seekers; however, our employees support community-based efforts as well.

Did you know we need accountants, phlebotomists, security officers, radiology technologists, chefs and many other professionals?

We have taken our high demand occupations and organized them by the Career Cluster Framework widely recognized in Iowa and Nebraska.  For more details, view a poster of our high demand occupations*.

Listed below are programs and activities, which provide learners an opportunity to gain insight into the many careers available in health care:

*High Demand Occupations defined by CHI Health are those jobs regularly posted positions throughout the division.   Occupation titles may not directly align with the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Standard Occupation Codes (SOC).

Career Exploration

Once students or career seekers have the opportunity to learn about the various health care occupations, it is important to devote time to learning more about specific occupations.  CHI Health affords students and job seekers the following career exploration activities through internally coordinated programs and those with our external partners:

Career Development

Once students or job seekers have had an opportunity to explore various careers and occupations, it is time to prepare for the choice career.
