Thank a Caregiver
Has your life been touched by a special doctor or caregiver? Too often we let the opportunity to say “Thank You” slip away in the rush of our daily routines. If you have encountered someone who made your experience special - a doctor, nurse, volunteer, or other staff member, "Thank a Caregiver" with a gift to the St. Elizabeth/Nebraska Heart Foundation at https://give.chihealth.com/ThankACaregiver or mail in your form. Your doctor/caregiver will receive a special note from you honoring the care they provided. Honor those who make a difference!
Canopy Ambulance Entrance
Imagine the most frightening moment of your life happening at the worst possible time--in the middle of a snow storm. During a heart attack or critical illness, every second counts. At CHI Health Nebraska Heart, we take time seriously. That’s why four state-of-the-art catheterization labs are within 50 feet of the ambulance entrance door. In this amazing facility, the door to balloon time is just 22 minutes--compared to the American Heart Association standard of 90 minutes. Donate to Hearts of Hope as we are raising funds for a new canopy to protect the ambulances with heart attack patients arriving at Nebraska Heart.
We are asking for your support to help create a specialized canopy ambulance entrance area to shield our staff and patients from the harsh Nebraska weather. The newly designed covered entrance will be created to handle two emergency vehicles transporting our most critical heart patients protecting them for outside elements. You can give in honor or remembrance of a loved one, friend or colleague to Nebraska Heart Foundation – Hearts of Hope - simply give online.
This is the artist rendering and current ambulance area that will be remodeled with a new canopy entrance.
Thank You for Our Healing Garden
It is a place of refuge where you can retreat from the cares of the world for a little while, get some fresh air and renew your mind, body and spirit. Please come see our handicapped accessible walking path with bench seating where you can rest, meditate or pray. A wide variety of plants and trees are incorporated such as hydrangea, astilbe fanal, scarlet pearl snowberry, columbine, daylilies, phlox, ferns, hostas, lilacs, American hornbeam, and spruce. Amidst the beautiful landscaping is a pergola providing an area of filtered light.
West of the garden area, a decorative screen provides a barrier to the world beyond. It is truly a place that promotes healing and renewal of your mind, body, and spirit.
Your estate plan is more powerful than you may realize. Not only can you secure your family’s future with quality planning, but you can change our patients’ lives as well. Many of our supporters have chosen to participate in various planned giving options. Estate gifts are given in many ways based on your family’s values and goals. One major benefit of planned giving may be significant tax advantages, depending upon your situation. As a service to our friends and donors, Nebraska Heart Foundation offers confidential and comprehensive estate planning services at no charge and with no obligation. Planning clients are not asked or expected to make gifts, unless they choose to. Please contact Donna Hammack at 402-219-7074 for additional information.

Pediatric Place at St. Elizabeth
St. Elizabeth is developing a new model to care for children. It will be an improved way to keep young patients closer to families, keep them in our community - and still deliver good quality pediatric care. A hospital and emergency care unit - specialized separate area - will be located adjacent to the Emergency Department and will be the Pediatric Place at St. Elizabeth - ER and Hospital - just for kids. An inviting and child-like atmosphere will welcome children and their families. Donate to Pediatric Place at St. Elizabeth and help invest in the care of your children.
