Land Group Fitness Classes
Basic Barre: This 45 minute class will increase strength, muscular endurance, core fitness and balance. It involves a combination of ballet, Pilates, yoga and muscle-conditioning exercises. It’s good for the person that wants to focus and restore functional neutral alignment.
Chair Yoga: This 45 minute class if designed for those that need chair assistance. Healthy poses, balance and breathing techniques will be used.
Dance for PD: A specialized dance program created for those living with Parkinson’s disease. Participants work on balance, strength, movement, and coordination to engage the mind and body. All movement can be done in a chair and/or with the use of a walker/cane.
Delay the Disease for PD: A fitness program designed to empower people with Parkinson’s disease by optimizing their physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms. The program is the foundation for exercise classes geared specifically to counteract movement challenges experienced by people with Parkinson’s.
Gentle Fusion: This 45 minute class will take your body through stretching and balance. This class is designed for all fitness levels.
Gentle Yoga: This 45 minute class will take your body through yoga, Pilate’s balance, strength and flexibility exercises. There is no pre-requisite, all fitness levels are welcome.
Group Active: Feeling fitter, stronger, and more alive has never been more achievable or enjoyable! Using all elements of fitness, Group Active will increase your cardio fitness, build your strength and improve your balance and flexibility- all in a supportive group and motivating music .
Group Blast: BLAST OFF your workout with our Group Blast. Group Blast is an energetic cardio workout using The STEP to train fitness, agility, coordination and strength.
Group Centurgy: Redefine yourself with Group Centergy. Grow longer and stronger as you explore this 60 minute journey of yoga and Pilates movements. Positive uplifting music, group dynamics and supportive instructors will enable you to center your energy, reduce stress.
Group Core: Train like an athlete in 30 action-packed minutes. Expert coaching and motivating music will guide you through functional and integrated exercises using your body weight, weight plates, a towel and a platform – all to challenge you like never before!
Group Power: This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all major muscle groups through simple, athletic moves like squats, lunges, presses and curls. Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power!
Group Ride: Everyone finishes first in Group Ride! Pedal in groups, roll over hills, chase the pack, climb mountains and spin your way to burning calories and strengthening your lower body. This 50 minute cycling program is geared for anyone who can ride a bike.
Mat Pilate’s: Improve you core strength, balance and flexibility using exercise proven to lengthen and strengthen all major muscle groups.
Move to Lose: This is a 45 minute fun low intensity workout that includes cardio, strength, balance and flexibility. This class is for beginners and the active older adult.
PWR! MOVES For PD: This Parkinson’s specific skill training program will help maintain or restore skills that deteriorate and interfere with everyday movements. Being able to stand alone, get on and off the floor and walk with limited assistance is beneficial for this class.
Spin for PD: This 30 minute class utilizes a spin bike. The high cadence can help with motor control and reduce tremors and rigidity. Group cycling gives the individual the opportunity to build strength in a safe way, allowing everyday activities to become somewhat easier.
Strength 30: This quick 30 minute strength class will utilize different types of equipment from bar bell, hand weights and resistance bands to the resistance ball giving you a strong body from head to toe!
Sunrise Yoga: Start your morning right with gentle stretches and yoga postures. This class is designed for all fitness levels and experiences.
Tai Chi: This class will focus on breathing and balance moves. We will use breathing patterns; focus on deep breathing and walking patterns.
ZUMBA: The Latin-inspired, easy to follow, calorie-burning, dance fitness party. Whether you can dance or not, come try this class! Feel the music and let loose!
ZUMBA Toning and Hoop: Same music, same spirit as a traditional ZUMBA class just with the addition of toning and a hula hoop…Why not try something new and Hoop-it-up!
Yoga Flow: Yoga poses connecting breath with movement to create a fluid class with many options for beginners to advanced participants.
