Nutritious meals prepared according to your doctor's orders are provided at traditional meal times.Guest meals are available for room delivery for a fee by calling 3663 from any hospital phone.
Good Samaritan is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen personal property. Please send valuable items such as jewelry, cash over $20 and credit cards home with a family member. If this is not possible, Admissions staff can place these items in our safe. Immediately report lost items. Lost and found items are kept in Security for a limited time. You can contact Security by dialing “0” from a hospital phone.
Outside callers can reach any 4-digit patient room by calling (308) 865-CARE (2273) and then entering the patient's 4-digit room number. This number is also located on your phone, or in some instances, on the wall behind your bed.
Televisions with local cable and CHI Health Good Samaritan's own educational network are available in all patient rooms. If you are hearing impaired, closed-captioned television is available by asking your nurse. Please be considerate of others by lowering the volume or turning off your television at bedtime.
If your room temperature is not comfortable, inform your nurse. Please do not cover vents.
At times during your stay you will hear overhead announcements. Our staff will let you know if any action needs to occur.
In order to create the optimum environment for health and healing to occur, we are a tobacco-free environment. Tobacco products--cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, cigars, e-cigarettes, etc.--are not allowed on our property, including all grounds and parking lots.
It's important to stay in your room until your doctor has made rounds and/or treatments have been completed. If you want to leave the unit, ask your nurse if your doctor has given approval. Let your nurse know where you can be reached at all times.
