The Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff provides telemedicine support in the Omaha metro for the OB patients at CHI Health Immanuel in North Omaha and at CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, Iowa, as well as OB patients at CHI Health Schuyler. The NNPs (Neonatal Nurse Practitioners) are able to do an assessment and/or talk the inpatient staff through providing care while the NNP/NEO and/or transport team is enroute.
The CHI Health St. Elizabeth Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides telemedicine support to critical access and outreach community hospitals across Nebraska and northern Kansas. The Neonatologist, NNP and NICU Transport Team is available 24/7 to facilitate in the stabilization, treatment and transfer of the newborn.
