Thomas Frederickson, MD, FACP, SFHM, MBA

Tom is the Medical Director for Hospital Medicine Service Line at CHI Health in Omaha, Nebraska.  He also directs the Palliative care service for CHI Health Clinic, and is the system medical director for the CHI Health Transfer Center and for Virtual Services. 

Since completing his residency in Internal Medicine in 1998, Tom has been dedicated to the field of hospital medicine and to making hospitals safer places for patients.  He pursued medicine as a second career.  After working in corporate finance for a number of years, he attended medical school at the University of Minnesota and then completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.  Tom is active in the Society of Hospital Medicine where he currently serves on multiple committees.  He served on the board of Overland Park Regional Medical Center and has held many positions in medical staff leadership.  His professional interests include delivery of value based care, inpatient pain management, clinical process improvement, palliative care, and telehealth. 

The CHI Health Hospital Medicine Service Line has a 24 hour per day telehospitalist service and currently provides telehospitalist services at 6 remote sites.

Lynette Braun, ARRT RT

As a Telehealth Program Coordinator for CHI Health, Lynette assists clinics in the development and integration of telehealth services into their current practice, as well as staff training and support and promoting the awareness, benefits and partnerships of Virtual Service programs for CHI Health.

Lynette has prior clinical expertise which enhances her current work as a Telehealth Program Coordinator. Lynette is also a Registered Radiology Technologist with a wide variety of skills in medical/surgical clinics and hospitals including some medical assistant experience. She has extensive experience as a radiology software applications specialist and PACS Administrator. In addition she has worked as an EMR / Informatics Specialist and System Administrator with several different EMR application platforms. Lynette has recent experience as an Operations Manager for a telehealth company, as well as experience with Behavioral Health operations, billing & coding, scheduling and credentialing. She has attended Bellevue University and has completed all Business Management classes and is interested in completing her Bachelor’s Degree. 

Stephanie Paul, BS MPA

Stephanie is a Telehealth Program Coordinator at CHI Health. She is responsible for project planning and training for the development of telehealth services.

Prior to setting up medical specialty clinics at CHI, Stephanie had adult and child telehealth psychiatry clinical development experience. She has managed individual telehealth provider clinics as well as psychiatry residency telehealth clinics for rural communities.

With Stephanie’s overall eight years of telehealth experience she has developed workflows for the following telehealth service platforms: Adobe Connect, Polycom PVX, Vidyo, Real Presence, and American Well/Avizia. She also prior work experience in Microsoft Office programs to develop metrics for tracking telemedicine statistics.

Before a career in telehealth, Stephanie worked in Psychiatry and Family Medicine residency programs.

Stephanie attended Bellevue University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

Mindi Seyler, BSRT (R)(CT)

Based out of Grand Island, NE, Mindi is a Telehealth Coordinator for CHI Heath. She works with staff at local and regional levels to assist in the ongoing operations of virtual services.

Mindi performs site visits to oversee the successful development, delivery, and expansion of telehealth. This includes the development and review of processes and procedures involved in the technology, as well as, creating curriculum to train staff. To ensure patient, customer, and provider satisfaction, Mindi tracks, monitors, and assesses data for virtual services that are provided.

Before starting her career in virtual services, Mindi spent 14 years in Radiology. With multiple years of experience in healthcare, this helped her gain knowledge in different aspects of virtual services technology. Mindi received a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology at the University of NE Medical Center and is currently working on her Master’s through the University of NE – Lincoln.

Kay Taylor, BS, DC, CCENT

As the Video Network Supervisor for CHI Health Kay provides support and monitors the video network for the facilities throughout Nebraska and western Iowa. She strives to cultivate standardization among technology, processes, and training throughout CHI Health. Kay works closely with many IT teams across the market to implement and support varying video platforms to meet the needs of our users.

Kay previously held the position of Telehealth Coordinator at CHI Health St. Francis, in Grand Island, Nebraska. She provided onsite support and helped to facilitate growth in all areas of virtual services. Prior to telehealth Kay was Centralized Scheduling Lead at St. Francis. She has been with our organization for over 10 years.

Kay attended Midland Lutheran, Doane, and Palmer College of Chiropractic, earning a Bachelor in Science and Doctorate in Chiropractic. Kay is also a Cisco certified entry network technician. She makes her home with husband Cody, children Hannah and Owen in eastern Iowa.
