Employee Assistance Program
College of Saint Mary Counseling Assistance Program
Recognizing the stress and challenges college life can bring, your college has partnered with CHI Health to provide services through the Counseling Assistance Program.
This is a free, confidential counseling program available to you and your dependent family members.
The Counseling Assistance Program office is located on the CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy Campus, at 7710 Mercy Road, Suite 332. We have a staff of licensed, master's level counselors available to assist you in addressing any issue that may be keeping you from attaining your academic and personal goals.
There are up to five counseling sessions available, per occurrence or problem. If further help is needed beyond the CAP services, the counselor will help you connect with professional and community resources for additional assistance. No CAP information is released without your written consent, except when mandated by law.
Some of the reasons students have contacted CAP:
- Relationship and family problems
- Academic challenges
- Parenting concerns
- Anxiety and depression
- Alcohol and drug use
- Eating issues
- Uncertainty about a college major or career path
- Rape and sexual assault
- Conflicts with friends / roommate
- Legal / financial worries
The CAP line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For more information or to schedule an appointment with one of our counselors, call (402) 398-5566 or (888) 847-4975.
