About Patient and Family Advisory Councils
CHI Health's Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFAC) serve as an opportunity for patients, family members and health care providers to openly share ideas as they play an active role in improving the patient and family experience in CHI Health facilities. PFAC is a partnership of patients, family members and health care professionals who are dedicated to listening, learning and responding to the needs of our patients in order to continue to provide compassionate, safe and high quality care.
Patients, family members and providers all benefit from being a part of PFAC. The council not only serves as an opportunity for improvement but also an opportunity to better understand the overall health care market, processes, and what it takes to provide high quality care. It also gives all parties an opportunity to learn from each other's experiences, both negative and positive, to better understand barriers and opportunities for making the patients personal health care experience better.
Ultimately the council is tasked with supporting the mission, vision and values of CHI Health to drive extraordinary care to every patient.
