Dr. Burr, a central Nebraska native, earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His internship included training in integrated internal medicine, rheumatology, geriatrics, neurosurgery, orthopedics and surgical intensive care. He and his wife train for and compete in triathlons together.
