I was relieved to see pictures if my recent MRIs as well pictures I'd had sent from MRI in 2017! He took time to show me why I do NOT need surgery! Wonderful.

Dr. Akbik is excellent!! He listens and thoroughly answers any questions and / or concerns in a manner easily understood. It is obvious he is so knowledgeable and is passionate about providing me the best quality care. His has been very supportive and caring not only to myself but also including my daughters.

Dr. Akbik showed the area on my MRI that is the problem area and explained why it was a problem and what the solution was.

Appointment felt very rushed and like a waste of my time and resources. He walked in saying nothing needed to be done. Which would be fine, had he listened to my concerns, symptomology, or that my other provider thinks the finding is related to my health issues. I left the appointment very confused and with conflicting medical opinions. On top of the poor experience, he often deferred to the guest I had with me, instead of talking to me, the patient, the person experiencing the health issues.

I saw both the doctor and the PA and both were excellent. I would recommend both of them to anyone who needed specialized care.

Went through visit regarding MRI and confirmed my uneducated opinion that was ok/no abnormal findings. Answered my questions that no other CHI medical personnel could or would answer. Clear and concise with no guess work.

Dr. Akbik was very good at explaining and showing me why I did not need treatment for the suspected condition. However, In retrospect, It would have been good to have an explanation of circumstances when treatment would be Indicated for the separate, chronic, yet stable condition that does exist.
