Mary Jane Glade received her RN from Bryan School of Nursing, graduating Valedictorian, and her BSN, MS, and DNP at Creighton University where she was the recipient of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing award for outstanding scholarship and research. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Creighton University where the focus of her doctoral studies and scholarly project was the identification and management of women at high risk for breast cancer. Mary Jane was a nurse in the ICU at CHI Health St. Elizabeth before beginning practice as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner in 2007 and as a nurse practitioner has practiced in both rural and urban settings. Her experience is in family practice, rural medicine, women’s health/OBGYN, and cancer risk assessment.
Mary Jane is an advocate for preventative medicine and enjoys helping all people take an active role in their health care management. Five years ago, she started a program at an Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic to identify, screen, and manage women who are at high risk for and have hereditary cancer syndromes and/or high risk for breast cancer. She joined CHI Health St. Elizabeth to reach more patients at the Oncology High Risk and Survivorship Clinic.
Mary Jane is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Nebraska Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.
