Madelyn received her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University in May 2017, and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from University of Nebraska, Omaha in August 2019. Madelyn began her speech language pathology career treating a wide variety of adult, inpatients at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital and received the opportunity to transition into treating infants in the neonatal ICU and pediatric patients in the outpatient clinic for swallowing. Madelyn enjoys helping families overcome feeding obstacles both during inpatient NICU stay and as outpatients. She holds certifications as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and is formally trained in providing Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) to treat dysphagia in the pediatric population. When not working, Madelyn enjoys spending time with family and friends outside of work, particularly during the summer at the lake.
