About
Dr. Thibodeau was born and raised in Omaha. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1997. That same year, he entered medical school at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine on Omaha, earning his MD in 2001. Dr. Thibodeau completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson from 2001 to 2004. At the completion of his Internal Medicine residency, Dr. Thibodeau accepted an invitation to be a Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City/Mid America Heart Institute, ultimately serving as the Chief Cardiovascular Medicine Fellow. During his three year Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Thibodeau underwent additional training in patient selection, implantation, and management of pacemakers, biventricular pacemakers, and defibrillators. Dr. Thibodeau returned to Omaha in July, 2007 when he joined the CHI Health Clinic Heart Institute as an Invasive Cardiologist. In March of 2008, Dr. Thibodeau left the Heart Institute and became a founding member of the CHI Health Clinic Heart and Vascular Specialists, the first and only cardiology/cardiothoracic surgery employed exclusive by CHI Health.
Dr. Thibodeau is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. He has also completed the exam for special competency in cardiac pacing and defibrillation through the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRExam) and is recognized as a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist.
Dr. Thibodeau is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Nebraska Medical Association, and the Metro Omaha Medical Society.
