Well-Loved Teddy Bears Need Check-Ups Too
April 09, 2018
If your child’s well-loved Winnie the Pooh or other teddy bear needs some medical attention, Good Samaritan Medical Group providers are standing by to help.
Visit the Good Samaritan Medical Group doctors and staff at the CHI Health Teddy Bear Clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 at the Kearney Area Children’s Museum. The family fun night event is free and open to the public.
Children can bring in their favorite stuffed animal for a full check-up – and at the same time learn about different medical tests and procedures. Parents can collect informational health handouts, giveaways and get tips to help their kids overcome their fear of going to the doctor.
Safe Kids Platte Valley will also be on-hand from 4 to 7:30 p.m. celebrating national Safe Kids Day with fun games and activities geared toward teaching parents and kids how to stay safe on the road, in the home and at play. Preventable injuries are the number one cause of death for children in the U.S. This is an opportunity to raise awareness, learn how to make kids safer and save lives.
