New Quick Care Location Now Open Inside Grand Island Hy-Vee
September 05, 2017
A new CHI Health Quick Care location is now open in the Grand Island Hy-Vee supermarket located at 115 Wilmar Ave.
Quick Care are convenient walk-in clinics where CHI Health providers give minor medical care for patients 18 months and older. Services focus on diagnosis and treatment of simple, common conditions.
For individuals needing services such as a health screening, a tetanus shot or treatment for a minor illness, Quick Care is open from 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekend days — with no appointment necessary. Visits take 20 minutes or less. Quick Care locations are staffed by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with physician oversight.
Should a follow-up appointment be necessary, a CHI Health Clinic provider can access the record of each person’s Quick Care visit. This will allow the patient’s regular doctor to know what treatment was provided and any medication and dosage that was prescribed. If a patient’s physician isn’t part of CHI Health Clinic, a visit note can be sent to them directly from the system.
Most major insurances are accepted. If paying cash, full payment or co-payment (if filing insurance) is required at the time of payment.
Please note: Quick Care doesn’t provide emergency services. For emergencies, dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For patients age 18 and younger, a parent must provide consent for care in person.
