July 05, 2018
CHI Health is partnering with the Nebraska Greats Foundation (NGF) for their annual Golf Classic set for Friday, July 13 at the Kearney Country Club.
Heisman Trophy winners Eric Crouch, Mike Rozier, Johnny Rodgers and other former Nebraska athletes including Jerry Murtaugh, Johnny Dorn, Jeff Kinney and Monte Kratzenstein will be in attendance.
Proceeds provide financial assistance to former Nebraska collegiate athletes who, as a result of a medical challenge, have exhausted both their insurance and personal resources.
The tournament begins at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start. Check-in and registration begin at 10:30 a.m.
Entry fee for the four-person scramble is $800 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, range balls, lunch, 19th hole activities, refreshments and goodie bag. Single golfers will be placed with a team.

NGF is founded and operated by former athletes from various Nebraska colleges. Any former athlete, male or female, who lettered in their respective sport while attending one of Nebraska’s universities or colleges can apply for assistance through the website.
Last year’s golf classic was held in North Platte, Nebraska.
