Effective July 1, CHI Health Clinic will employ the remaining Kearney Clinic P.C. practice at 211 W. 33rd St. Leading up to the transition, the clinic will continue to operate as normal.
The practice, to be re-named CHI Health Clinic - Kearney Clinic, will continue to work out of the current building. CHI Health Clinic, part of the regional health network including CHI Health Good Samaritan, will employ family medicine providers Dr. Beth Ernst, Dr. Terry Becker, Dr. Stephanie Larson and Dr. David Sokolowski, Lynnette Verzal, PA-C, Paula Ramirez, AANP, Brendie Ellison, APRN and Andrea Rabe, APRN; general surgery providers Dr. Tom Sorrell, Dr. Jeff Merz, Dr. Brady O’Hare and Kendee Koster, PA-C; physical medicine and rehabilitation physician Dr. David Schanbacher; behavioral health providers Michael Renner, Ph.D. and Eva Nickel-Drabek, MS, LIMHP; and staff.
This new partnership builds on the strong foundation both healthcare organizations have in the Kearney community, and ensures that patients in the region continue to have access to the providers they’re comfortable in a familiar setting.
"I am very pleased that with CHI Health Clinic we will be able to continue to see and provide medical care to our patients in our current location. This partnership will be beneficial not only for CHI Health, our providers, and staff but also for our patients," said Dr. Beth Ernst, a primary care physician who practices at Kearney Clinic.
This is an exciting development for CHI Health Clinic, says Julie Gernetzke, executive director of operations with CHI Health Clinic. "With this partnership we are looking forward to growing together at this location, continuing to provide the highest quality care, access, and service for patients and the community. We are working closely together to make this a smooth transition for everyone."
CHI Health Clinic currently operates CHI Health Clinic - Good Samaritan and employs family medicine providers Drs. Jenna Derr and Brittani Moeller and family and sports medicine physician Dr. Dani Wooldrik. These providers and their staff will remain at 3320 Ave. A on the CHI Health Good Samaritan campus. CHI Health also offers Quick Care services at Kearney’s HyVee, as well as internal medicine and specialty care at Good Samaritan Medical Group.
"We are really looking forward to the Kearney Clinic team joining the CHI Health family," Gernetzke said. "It’s our privilege to serve the Kearney community and surrounding region in a new way."
CHI Health Clinic will be communicating more details with patient families as the opening date nears and more information is available.
