Ribbon Cutting for Grand Island’s New Women’s Health Clinic

CHI Health welcomes new obstetrician-gynecologists to the Grand Island community with the introduction of a clinic devoted to women’s health.

CHI Health Clinic Women’s Health, located at 705 Orleans Drive, opens its doors Feb. 8. The newly remodeled facility, featuring eight exam rooms and an on-site procedure and ultrasound room, will focus on the treatment and prevention of conditions unique to females at every stage of life.

Dr. Michael Ryskin, board certified OB/GYN, Dr. Amanda Stuelpnagel, OB/GYN, and women’s health nurse practitioner Chelsey Kennedy will anchor the new practice.

"Our goal is to provide compassionate care as trusted health care partners from adolescence throughout our patients’ lives," says Dr. Stuelpnagel, a Nebraska native.

"We are passionate about providing women’s healthcare as well as building lasting relationships with our patients in a supportive environment through the joys and changes of life. In addition to routine exams, pregnancy care and menopause management our teams of experts will manage a wide range of health issues including infertility, sexual health, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, incontinence, mental health, heart disease, cancer, nutrition, weight management, osteoporosis, thyroid diseases, rheumatologic diseases, and multiple sclerosis," says Dr. Stuelpnagel.

According to Kennedy with the addition of the women’s health clinic to the St. Francis campus, the circle of care is complete for area females. "Our clinic was the last piece. Within steps of our front door, women have world-renown cancer care, mammography, surgical services and maternity care."

In preparation for additional labor and deliveries, the hospital’s Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit recently added 24/7 on-site neonatal nurse practitioners and telemedicine neonatologists coverage. These specialists can attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate attention to newborns in need of specialized care.

The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce is hosting a small, invite-only, ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12. Mask usage is required and social distancing will be practiced. When able to safely gather, the clinic will host a public open house including tours of the new practice.

The clinic, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, offers same-day appointments and an online patient portal.
