CHI Health is once again sponsoring the Sidewalk Marathon an inspiring walking program aimed at helping people take those initial first step to better health by walking 26.2 miles in 30 days. The month-long program starts with a kick-off event, in four cities: Omaha, Kearney, and Schuyler in NE, and Corning, IA. These events will be happening the weekend of March 23-24. This free community event will feature free ice skating for the family, question and answer sessions with providers, instructor-led group fitness classes, blood pressure screening, inflatable walk-through super-colon and health risk assessments. More than 20 booths will address health-related topics like diabetes, snoring, stroke, depression, joint pain and teach participants hands-only CPR, how to stretch, find the right doctor and treat pain without opioids. During the event, participants can walk the first mile of their 26.2-mile journey on the indoor walking path and register for prizes. *Events will vary by location.
