Good Samaritan Plans NICU Reunion for April 6
March 28, 2019
CHI Health Good Samaritan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is hosting a reunion for "graduates" of the unit.
The free Easter-themed carnival is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 in the hospital’s cafeteria giving families and staff the opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the precious lives of all our graduates. Photos with the Easter bunny, refreshments, crafts, face painting and carnival games with prizes are planned with an Easter egg hunt starting at 3:30 p.m.
Each year, approximately 150 infants, many transferred in via Good Samaritan long-distance ambulance or AirCare helicopter, require care from the NICU medical and nursing team at Good Samaritan. The hospital’s unit features state-of-the-art centralized cardiac/respiratory monitoring in nine private rooms for families.
