Adriana Lopez receives CHI Health St. Francis Caring Kind Award
July 01, 2019
Adriana Lopez received the 2019 Caring Kind Award for CHI Health St. Francis on Tuesday, June 25.
Lopez, who works as an interpreter, was presented with the award by St. Francis President Ed Hannon and Beth Deida, RN, representing the Employee Celebration Team. A reception for the nominees followed.
The following are excerpts from Lopez’s nomination:
"Adriana Lopez is so deserving of the Caring Kind award. She has worked at St. Francis as an interpreter for many years and always comes to work with a smile on her face. She has worked as the only in-house interpreter for a long time and is heavily utilized throughout the hospital and is pulled to several different areas throughout the day, but is still smiling."
"The patients appreciate the care she provides and as a nurse I absolutely couldn’t do my job without her. Adriana is personable with the staff and providers. She pays attention to details and makes sure the patients understand what is being said. She is respectful of the patient’s privacy and will always turn away or move behind the curtain when a private procedure is being performed."
"Adriana is an incredible asset to St. Francis and we are so blessed to have her at the bedside and representing St. Francis so well to our Spanish-speaking population."
