Kandy serves as an Administrative Fellow for CHI Health. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and recently graduated with a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Kandy’s current interests revolves around improving patient experience, employee engagement, strategic planning, community benefits, and integrating population health with the healthcare system. However, she’s excited to be able to learn and be engaged in the comprehensive operations of a large, integrated healthcare system. She previously worked for the Center for Reducing Health Disparities working on issues related to refugee health, gang violence, safe sleep, cancer, faith-based health ministries, diabetes telehealth, parenting education, children chronic disease management, food wastage, and workforce diversity to address social determinants of health.
Kandy enjoys spending time with family and friends doing in-and-outdoor physical activities, traveling, and claiming to be a food connoisseur. Kandy’s eager to be immersed into the diverse operations of the healthcare arena at CHI Health and see how the opportunities within the fellowship can fulfill the mission of creating healthier communities.
