Is your heart skipping a beat...too often?

Let the experts at CHI Health Clinic get to the heart of the matter.

Electrophysiology (EP), or heart rhythm management, is the study, diagnosis, and treatment of the abnormalities (arrhythmias) of the electrical conduction of the heart. An electrophysiologist is a cardiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatments these abnormalities. The electrophysiologists at CHI Health Clinic specialize in treating arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia and many others with the latest technology, procedures and devices. They work collaboratively with our general cardiologists and interventional cardiologists as well as cardiovascular surgeons to provide high-quality patient centered care for a wide variety of conditions including atrial fibrillation.

New Technology and Innovative Procedures

Our ability to make real-time 3-D models of the heart helps us determine the best treatment options such as medications, surgical procedures, or devices such as defibrillators or pacemakers with remote monitoring by specialized staff.

A new, high-tech hybrid electrophysiology lab at Bergan Mercy in addition to our existing labs enables us to provide efficient, accurate care.

Heart Care Support Group

Family, caregivers and patients of CHI Health who have an implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) or been affected by an ICD are invited to attend our quarterly support group meetings.  Each meeting offers education about ICD’s and provides an avenue for patients and caregivers to share their experiences with others who are dealing with similar feelings and concerns. The cost is free and a light meal is provided. For more information, please contact Pamela Gaines at (402) 398-5654 or check online for group availability.
