Lincoln OB-GYN, PC
Gregory W. Heidrick, M.D., of Lincoln OB-GYN, has been in private practice in Lincoln since finishing his residency in 1988.
He was educated at Saint Thomas College in Saint Paul, Minn., graduated from medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., and did his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Heidrick, who began using operative laparoscopy in 1988, performed the first operative laparoscopic procedure in Lincoln for an ectopic pregnancy that
same year. He has made advances in operative gynecology using multiple techniques including laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive robotic surgery and vaginal surgery. Dr. Heidrick uses robotic surgery to customize surgery to the individual patient. Dr. Heidrick, who performed the first single-incision robotic surgery in this region, has performed more than 500 robotic surgeries at CHI Health St. Elizabeth alone.
Dr. Heidrick has also been active in medical missionary work in Eastern Europe, including Romania, and in Africa over the last 10 years. He brings his different surgical techniques to other regions where advanced gynecologic surgery might not be possible otherwise. He continues to see new patients, particularly for gynecologic problems, but is also still active in his obstetrical practice where he takes care of both normal and high-risk pregnancies.
