A Personalized Treatment Program
Alegent Creighton Health Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children provides treatment designed to meet the specific needs of adolescents who have a substancel disorder with or withaout a mental health disorder. Following a formal assessment, the staff works closely with the referring worker (if applicable), the family and youth to develop a personalized treatment plan that includes a wide range of activities designed to heal the body, mind and spirit. Youths learn better ways to approach the people, places and situations encountered in their lives.

The Importance of Family
Behavioral or substance abuse problems in children affect all those who care about them. Involving the entire family or support system is an important part of the child’s recovery process. When the child returns home he or she will need a strong support system to help maintain and improve upon the progress made during treatment. At Alegent Creighton Health Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children, we recognize the importance of family involvement and encourage participation progress reviews and family therapy. We also encourage an open line of communication between the families and our program therapist throughout the youth’s stay.
Alegent Creighton Health Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children is a covered benefit though Iowa Medicaid. Some private insurance policies may include the PMIC program as a covered benefit.
