Q: Will my insurance cover infusion therapy?
A: Alegent Health at Home – Infusion Pharmacy services are provided to the insured and uninsured alike. As an approved provider for most insurance companies in Nebraska and Iowa, we work with patients and their families to explain benefits, verify coverage and inform you of any financial obligations before therapy services begin. Q: Does a nurse administer all doses of my infusion therapy?
A:
No. Most insurance companies do not cover a nurse coming to your home multiple times each day to administer IV therapies. Your initial dose of medication will be administered by a member of our team. Successive doses may be given by a nurse but our goal is to train you to administer your medicine yourself. A nurse from our Infusion Pharmacy team will teach you or a loved one on how to administer your medications at home.

Q: Is infusion therapy at home safe?
A:
Yes. Our highly skilled team of nurses will teach and monitor your IV therapy in the home to ensure you are properly trained and follow appropriate administration technique(s). Additionally, patients experiencing infusion therapy at home often recover faster and experience fewer complications.

Q: Do I have to pick up my medicine from the Pharmacy?
A:
Our delivery drivers will usually deliver your meds to your door and a nurse will always train you on proper administration.

Q: When will my medicine be delivered?
  A:
Many times your medicine is ready to go when you are discharged from the Hospital. It may be at home waiting for you when you get home. If you have questions regarding medicine delivery, call 898-8000.

Q: If I have any trouble with my PICC line, who do I call?
A:

Q: What if I have a question about my pump?
