For the second year in a row, Alegent Creighton Health has been named one of the nation’s top five mid-sized health systems and one of the 15 Top Health Systems by Truven Health Analytics.
Truven, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of health care, ranked the top five small, medium and large health systems in its study, “15 Top Health Systems.” Alegent Creighton Health was the only system in Nebraska or Iowa chosen for the list.
“This is a huge honor for our health system,” said Marie Knedler, president of Mercy Hospital. “To be named one of the top 15 health systems in the country for two consecutive years speaks to the work we do each day to provide high-quality care to the people in our communities. The doctors, nurses and everyone at Mercy Hospital should be proud of this accomplishment, but this is really good news for the patients we care for – they are getting nationally recognized care at our hospital.”
The ranking speaks well for Alegent Creighton staff, said Dr. Joseph Hoagbin, chief medical officer at Alegent Creighton Health Mercy Hospital.
“This just validates all the work we’ve been doing,” he said.
