Experts: little benefit to vitamin supplements

Are vitamin supplements one of the keys to staying healthy – or just a waste of money?

Two local experts see limited uses for them.

“In general, vitamins are not indicated,” said Dr. Mel Roca, family practitioner at Alegent Creighton Clinic’s West Broadway location. “If they are actually eating a well-balanced diet with fruits and vegetables, they don’t need to have supplements.”
