Besides his work as a family practitioner, Dr. J. Gregory Thomas trains the next generation of physicians.

He has helped mentor medical students from the University of Iowa for 25 years as associate clinical professor of family medicine. Since Alegent Health became affiliated with Creighton University, he is also associate clinical professor for Creighton.

Thomas enjoys working with students.

“I think it’s exciting to be able to expose students to primary care at an early stage,” he said. “This is what I’ve wanted to do since I was a child, as well, so to share that with other people is fun.”
