A grand opening celebration for the new location for Alegent Creighton Clinic in Lenox was held on April 5. The new facility, open to patients at 210 South Main, was the site of a ribbon-cutting and a blessing by Pastor Tim Maxa.

Deb Goldsmith, Alegent Creighton Health regional administrator, shared: "We are excited about the opportunity to have a new home in which to provide medical care for the community and surrounding area. This is one part of our long term plans to be a partner in the Lenox community and offer quality health care close to home for our patients."

The new clinic is 2,800-square-feet and includes the standard areas needed in a medical clinic: a reception area, office space and exam rooms. Unique to the Lenox location will be sleeping space for paramedics as part of the 24/7 Taylor County Ambulance service. Another added feature is the radiology room, providing patients the opportunity to have some radiology diagnostic images available in Lenox.

"We want to make health care accessible and convenient for our patients," stated Beth Spieker, manager of the Alegent Creighton Clinic in Lenox. "The radiology diagnostic addition at the clinic is one key feature we wanted to bring to the Lenox community. Adding paramedics to our staff is a great way we can continue to look at ways to expand our services to the community."

"I would be remiss if I didn’t say a special thank you to the leadership and vision of the Mercy Health Care Foundation," shared Goldsmith. "They have been excellent stewards of the donations made to the foundation through the years either through outright gifts, planned gifts of life insurance gifts, and estate gifts. Their stewardship of the funds enabled them to fund the building of the Lenox Clinic and soon the Bedford Clinic. The board recognized the need to be partners and builders in the Lenox community."

According to Goldsmith, Taylor County representatives on the foundation board include Kristi Ritchie, Paula Fehring, Mary Lu Imm, Short Rogers and Alan Jones.
