Deborah Hoffnung holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Louisiana State University. She completed her Internship and Fellowship training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She is a board-certified psychologist and certified in Clinical Neuropsyschology (ABPP-CN).
Clinical Specialties: Neuropsychological evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults (ages 6 to 90+ years), particularly those with epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumors, early onset dementias, diabetes, chronic cardiac and pulmonary disorders, chronic medical disorders, and candidates for neurosurgery.
The CHI Health Neuropsychology team specializes in the diagnostic assessment and treatment of patients with brain injury or neurocognitive deficits. A typical caseload may include people with traumatic brain injury (TBI), cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) such as stroke and aneurysm ruptures, brain tumors, encephalitis, epilepsy/seizure disorders, dementias, mental illnesses (e.g. schizophrenia), and a wide range of developmental disorders, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, autism and Tourette’s syndrome.
