Michael Aaronson, M.D.OMAHA, Neb. – A new doctor is on the job at Alegent Health Clinic. Michael L. Aaronson, M.D. brings his expertise in internal medicine to patients at the Papillion clinic. As an internist, Dr. Aaronson is specially trained to focus on adult medicine and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases. He will provide primary care and complex care to patients ranging in age from teens to the elderly. Dr. Aaronson is also board certified in nephrology, which deals with disorders of the kidney.

Dr. Aaronson earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1996. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1999 and a nephrology fellowship, also at the University of Minnesota, in 2001.

Prior to joining Alegent Health Clinic, Dr. Aaronson was staff nephrologist for the North Central Kidney Institute/Avera Health, medical director for pancreas transplant medicine at Avera McKennan Transplant Center and staff physician for electronic ICU at Avera McKennan Hospital.

Dr. Aaronson belongs to several scientific, honorary and professional societies including the American Society of Nephrology, of which he serves as a reviewer for its Nephrology Self-Assessment program. He also co-authored the weight loss guide, The Spider Diet: Breaking the Vicious Cycle of Constant Weight Gain, A Guide to Health Living Through Self-Assessment and Change.

Dr. Aaronson joins Internist Fredrick Schwartz, M.D. at the Papillion Clinic, along with Family Practice Physicians Sarah Hurd, M.D., Michael Walts, M.D. and Allan Wilsey, M.D.
