Sison-Martinez Joins Midlands Hospital as Chief Nursing Executive

PAPILLION, Neb. – Romida “Mida” Sison-Martinez, RN, BSN, MA has joined the Alegent Health Midlands Hospital leadership staff as chief nursing executive. Sison-Martinez is responsible for managing the nursing staff and handing related activities around quality improvement and clinical resource management at the hospital.

Sison-Martinez brings nearly 20 years of nursing and health care leadership experience to Alegent Health. Most recently, she served as Principal Consultant for Tigerlink Nebraska, LLC, where she provided interim management and performance improvement services for healthcare organizations across the country. Sison-Martinez received her nursing degree from Clarkson College in Omaha and earned a Master of Arts degree in Business Communication from Jones International University in Englewood, Colo.

Sison-Martinez hopes to influence a culture of servant leadership and professional cohesiveness among her staff and is excited to infuse her leadership experience in a faith-based organization.

“I believe in visible leadership, being engaged with my colleagues and drawing on ‘teachable moments’ to mentor and guide my staff. Working at Alegent Health will allow me to put my faith-based beliefs into practice and help create a nurturing, relationship-based environment for nurses and other practitioners to provide high quality patient care,” said Sison-Martinez.

She replaces Toni Regni, RN who recently retired after nearly 30 years of service to Alegent Health Midlands Hospital.
