Proven Leaders Move into New Positions at Alegent Health

OMAHA, Neb. —Alegent Health is pleased to announce several organizational changes that will further enhance the patient-centered care at the organization. These changes will help move Alegent Health on its journey toward achieving world-class leadership in health care.

Peg Breen has been promoted to senior vice president of Human Resources Department. Since coming to the organization in June, 2007, Breen has begun efforts to create a world-class workforce of the future by reorganizing Alegent Health’s HR division and creating a roadmap an innovative benefits and compensation model for employees.

Amy Protexter will assume responsibility for Marketing in addition to her current role as vice president of Corporate Communications. Protexter has played an intricate role in promoting Alegent Health’s initiatives both locally, regionally and nationally. Her new role will enhance and strengthen Alegent Heath’s efforts while providing synergy between the two departments.

Sheree Keely, LCSW, has been promoted to vice president of Behavioral Health Services for Alegent Health. Keely will provide leadership and direction for the nearly 400 behavioral health employees working in acute services, residential services, partial hospitalization programs, school programs, outpatient clinics, coaching center and clinical educators/consultants in both the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metropolitan area.

Keely takes over for Mike Anderson who has championed the needs of our community's most vulnerable citizens - those with behavioral health needs. Anderson was instrumental in building a strong, well-respected behavioral health program at Alegent Health. He will spearhead several special projects within Alegent Health’s Innovation division while continuing to oversee the completion and opening of the Lasting Hope Recovery Center.
