WHAT: Alegent Health Midlands Hospital will celebrate Daffodil Day, an American Cancer Society (ACS) annual initiative, by giving every Midlands patient in the hospital bright and blossoming daffodils to spead hope. Daffodil Day is a ten-year-old tradition at Midlands Hospital. The daffodil is ACS’s flower of hope because it is the first flower of spring and thus marks a new season and hope for a community free of cancer. WHO: Marilyn Paulson, Midlands Hospital Auxiliary Daffodil Day coordinator, will prepare the daffodils and coordinate the distribution of the flowers to the patients’ rooms. WHEN: The daffodils will arrive and be prepared for patients’ rooms on Monday, March 14. Volunteers will deliver the daffodils to patients’ rooms on Tuesday, March 15. (Exact time of delivery to patient rooms to be announced.) WHERE: The daffodils will arrive at Alegent Health Midlands Hospital, first floor, in the information center. Midlands Hospital is located at 11111 S. 84th Street in Papillion.
