What Is MyHealthCare?

MyHealthCare is a secure online environment where you can keep track of your personal healthcare information and connect with Alegent Health. Use MyHealthCare to:

  • View your mammogram results
  • Request an appointment for a clinic visit
  • Complete your maternity pre-registration
  • Track health conditions, allergies, medications and more
  • Access health information
How do I get a MyHealthCare account?
To enroll in MyHealthCare, go to www.alegent.com. Look for the MyHealthCare section in the upper right part of the page. Click on the "Learn more about MyHealthCare" link and follow the instructions on the page.

Why do you need an email address to register with MyHealthCare?
E-mail is the primary communication tool to let you know when a new message is sent to your MyHealthCare account. It also is the way we send your forgotten user name or password to you.

What if I can't remember my user name or password?
From the homepage or using the drop down for the MyHealthCare link at the top of every page on Alegent.com, select either the "Forgot Your Username?" or "Forgot Your Password?" link and follow the instructions on the page.

What if my mammogram results aren't on MyHealthCare?
It may take 1-2 days for your results to appear online (more detail?). If they have not been posted after 2 business days, please contact us.

When should I submit my maternity pre-registration?
Typically it should be sent in by about 32 weeks, about the same time that you are taking maternity classes.

Is MyHealthCare secure and HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. MyHealthCare is a secure communication environment that requires a user name and password to access.

Can accounts be created in MyHealthCare for children?
Yes, they can be created for children under the age of 19 in Nebraska, 18 in Iowa. These accounts are under the primary account holder’s account and will remain with the account until the child is 18 or 19, depending on the state. Once the child reaches the age of 18 or 19, they will be automatically dropped off the primary account holder’s account and will be able to establish their own account.

Will the system log me out?
If you are logged on to MyHealthCare but are not active, the system will log off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

What if I have a question or feedback about MyHealthCare?

Input is always welcome. Questions and feedback can be sent to MyHealthCare@alegent.org.
